Bands

Bands really are the backbone of this country, they write the music we go out to, the songs we make love to and are generally the sound track to our lives. Without music everything would just seem, well, boring. Whether you’re into hip hop, drum ‘n’ bass, rock, pop, metal, punk or indie, there are always more groups that you would enjoy listening to, both live and on record.

The live music scene has started to takeover from the DJs and producers that seemed to dominate the late nineties and early naughtys. Festivals are becoming more and more popular and local bands seem to get more opportunity to play gigs. There are more open mic nights available, and more free events, gigs and festivals. It is a good idea to support your local music scene so that other bands can get the chance, not only to reach the commercial heights of there contemporaries, but so those that might like them can hear them as well. Often so many bands are cut down in there prime because of lethargic fans, which is a shame really because we have lost some of the greatest songs without ever hearing them. It is a great sensation supporting an unknown group on there rise to fame, and hopefully more people will realize this.
